What should the church be doing? All kinds of thoughts have been raised about what churches should be doing.  Feeding the hungry or clothing the naked or seeking social justice for the op- pressed or bringing relief to the victimized or influencing public policy or having lots of programs for the kids or finding a way to keep teens out of trouble or making sure that the elderly are comforted and comfortable.   All of the above are noble causes. The church at Thyatira (Revelation 2:18-29) seems to have been alive with all kinds of this activity, and yet the Spirit warns them that they are being negligent of their primary duty. What is that duty? Are we being faithful to that duty?  How can we avoid allowing noble activity to crowd out what is most important?  Come and find out!

If you stay in a place a while, you can see churches come and churches go.  Sometimes they pop up overnight and just as quickly they are gone. Some have been around for decades, but they ended up closing their doors. Others have thrived in days gone by but now are struggling for their very survival in the present day. The Spirit called the church at Sardis (Revelation 3:1-6) a “dying church.”  What did he mean? How do we assess the health of our church?  How can we remain a living, vibrant church? Come and find out!
