Hope Cares is the service ministry of Hope Lutheran Church. Its goal is to serve our community while bringing glory to God. "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." - 1 Peter 4:10

Current ways to serve with Hope Cares:

Did you know that May is National Foster Care Month? "Hope Cares" is organizing a way to serve 15 of our local Epworth foster families in a special way each week during the month of May. We would love for you to consider serving in this capacity! The breakdown of the four weeks is as follows:

  • Week 1: A home cooked meal.

  • Week 2: Groceries delivered.

  • Week 3: A restaurant gift card.

  • Week 4: Foster Family’s Choice (They will pick one of the previous options)

We realize this is a rather large financial and time commitment. If you would like to team up with another individual or family, please feel free to do so, but make sure to designate one "Team Leader". To sign up as an individual, family, or team, please email Julie Lindloff at julielindloff03@gmail.com. Each week, you will deliver the above items to your assigned foster family’s home. It is each team leader’s responsibility to reach out to their assigned foster family with any details needed (allergies, number in household, groceries desired, etc.) and also work out a delivery time (preferably towards the beginning of the week). Each team leader will receive an email with your foster family’s contact information and also a weekly email reminder of the upcoming week’s service.

We praise God for this opportunity to serve these incredible families.  They will truly be blessed through your service!
